Tea and Landing PartyEvery year, on July 28, the Gwyl Glaniad (Landing Party) takes place. The chapels become the center of the celebrations and the “Welsh tea” is widely served. The descendants of the Welsh colonists take part in this “party for the palate”, as well as the rest of the community, who gladly adheres to this tradition. The neighbors of the chapels form Committees to help in the tea preparation. At the same time, at the churchyards, games are organized, as well as show-jumping exhibitions and night concerts. Tea houses
In Gaiman, the most traditional place, there is a great number of houses offering this service. Tea houses in Gaiman
The great number of Welsh descendants in Chubut have settled in different parts of the Province. This makes it possible for the Welsh tea to be appreciated not only in the famous Gaiman, but also in other places such as Trelew, Puerto Madryn, Trevelyn and several farmhouses.
