Puerto Pirámides, a Small Jewel on the Patagonic Coast
This small population has a long history shared with the whole peninsula. Puerto Piramides, Pyramid Harbor in English, owes its name to a pyramid like formation which guided the sailors towards this destination. So they usually ended up in this natural harbor of calm waters.
Another advantage for sailors is that this place is a beautiful destination. The small beach in Puerto Piramides is quiet and invites us to stay long hours to enjoy as much as possible of the natural scenery.
The main street starts in the route of access and it ends three blocks later, in the sea water. This tour will take us through businesses, experts in whale watching, hotels and apartments for rent.
Almost all of the visitors come from Puerto Madryn, stay here for a few hours and go back to the big city. If your spirit is different and you wish to live the Patagonia as close as possible then you should stay a night or two in Puerto Piramides.

Nonetheless, they will all enable you to enjoy Puerto Piramides at its best, and could end up being a starting point to your exploration across the Valdes Peninsula.
