Neuquen

  

The province of Neuquén has some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Patagonia.
 
F rom its barren Andes to the North, the wonderful forests of Pehuen in Copahue to the most humid zones of the southern Andes like San Martín de los Andes, Villa la Angostura with its exuberant forests.
 
There is also paleontology tourism in El Chocón, trekking in Las Lajas, spas with medicinal properties in Copahue and a reserve in Zapala. Excellent infrastructure can be found in all these destinations.

Junín de los Andes is the perfect combination of color and landscape.   Located at the shore of Traful Lake, this town was born around 1937 to provide tourist infrastructure.   Pehuenia is the name the natives gave this zone in which the Pehuén (araucaria araucana) dominates.
