    The large peninsula is home to a very impressive forest of arrayanes, the redish colored tree that inspired Walt Disney in his visit.   The Granfather is a large coihue (Nothofagus Dombeyii), whose trunk can be embraced between 8 or 10 people, it is 400 to 500 years old.
