Diving in Lakes Nahuel Huapi and Traful
The Agrupacion Subacuatica Andino Patagonica (Subaquatic Andine-Patagonian Group) of Villa La Angostura is now a scuba diving school, with the intention to promote this activity.
This activity is done from this location, Villa La Angostura, to the lakes. It is unique and new because this is the first and only school in the area, and they’ve been developing this activity from the year 2001, becoming pioneers.
Diving can be seen as one of the only contemplative and ecologic activity developed in the Lake Nahuel Huapi and Lake Traful.
This activity is more intensely developed from November to April, but there are plans to make it an all-year-long option.
Among the places the visit includes, there is a shipwreck, immersed woods, and monumental rocks of a glacier origin.
The lake offers an important amount of sceneries, like the big rocks that form cords in the bottom of the lake or the impressive rocky walls.
Logs from enormous trees that have fallen in the shores, creating a complicated labyrinth made out of wood and water. Sailing the lake until the point of immersion is always a pleasant ride, with no important waves nor strong winds, make this an enjoyable activity from the first moment, when you leave the port.
