Diving in Las Grutas

Many visitors will remember Las Grutas as the place where they for the first time experienced the submarine world. And you could not choose better place.

The waters of this zone of the Atlantic are warm and transparent, and in addition the experienced instructors make the excursion a great experience.

This adventure can be had all year round, considering the temperature of the water. In September, October and November the average temperature of waters oscillates between 13ºC and 15ºC, and in the summer season between 22ºC and 25ºC.

With winds of the northwest the visibility is greater. In the spring and until summer ends the attractiveness is more intense, because at this time seaweed begins to flourish, it is the period of reproduction of the different species, and the spectacle for the eyes is majestic. The visibility depends to a great extent on the wind. With winds of the Norwest it is greater, with strong winds of the south-south west quadrant is not possible to dive.

The predominant winds in the zone come from the West and the Northwest. The visibility varies according to the months of the year between 2 and 12 meters. The months of greater visibility correspond to autumn-winter. In spring and until summer ends the visibility is reduced although, as we said before, it is the best time to try.
